Networking on tour
CIOmove is a global conference that unites CIOs and IT leaders from multinational companies with an average revenue of $5 billion USD. It was initiated in collaboration with Horst Ellermann, the publisher of CIO Magazine.
Held annually, the conference travels around the world, providing fresh perspectives on the IT landscape and continuously expanding the community. It offers CIOs the opportunity to share their experiences and engage in deep discussions about the current drivers of their business. Countries previously visited include Morocco, Portugal, Switzerland, Germany, the USA, Israel, Spain, the UK, and France.
The discussion topics at CIOmove are selected and moderated by CIOs themselves. Professors from Columbia University, the Technical University of Munich, and the University of St. Gallen provide structure and academic input. Delegates from major CIO networks, such as the CIO Executive Council (Boston), China CIO Association (Shanghai), and Euro-CIO (Brussels), broaden the perspective. Local experts contribute current insights from diverse venues—whether it’s the United Nations in New York, start-ups in Tel Aviv, the World Economic Forum in Davos, Volkswagen Digital Solutions in Lisbon, or the Parisian programming school École 42.
Over the years, the CIO community has developed close personal relationships and a robust network of several hundred IT decision-makers. Bi-monthly meetings, known as CIOmove@Home, are held across Germany to explore the IT strategies of regional companies and provide a platform for discussing current challenges. CIOs from companies such as Volkswagen, Schwarz Group, BASF, and Allianz have hosted these exclusive networking events.
. . The next CIOmove will take place in Ireland for the first time in 2025, and most spots are already booked. If you are interested in joining, please apply here.
