FAKTOR 3's "Speakers Bureau" creates visibility for companies and introduces a new scope for corporate communications

More than ever before, corporate communications is driving companies’ positioning, reputation and messages. While many are taking advantage of the new opportunities to promote their profile through their own channels and social media, visibility in relevant third-party environments is essential to build an effective and credible reputation and reach new target groups.

Classical PR instruments quickly reach their limits in this context, and the reach of editorial media stagnates. On the other hand, experts are observing a boom in new formats, including offers that cater to special interests and facilitate exchange. These Communities of Experts (CoE) and Communities of Interests (CoI) are taking shape through a variety of topics, media resonance spaces and touchpoints. They include events, conferences, trade fairs, online events and other forms of live communication - but also forums and specialist groups, blogs, networks and social profiles that promote thematically-motivated exchange.

Corporate influencers on (digital) stages

Against this background, managers and employees are becoming highly relevant as true experts and drivers of their topics. As corporate influencers, they give their companies a face and a voice in the relevant communities without having to give up personal authenticity.

This is where the idea of the "Speakers Bureau" comes into play, which FAKTOR 3 developed together with Microsoft Germany. The Speakers Bureau is a central resource for corporate communications, enabling companies to systematically use their own experts in the field of communication.

The Speakers Bureau operates in the following areas and expansion stages:

  • Matchmaking: Systematic development of event and dialogue formats for the positioning of in-house expertise - and the internal alignment of appropriate strategic focus and experts

  • TalkCoaching: Speaker, stage and media training for individuals and groups within a company. This includes coaching on stage presence and recommendations for the right technical set-up of (corona-conditioned) remote events. This includes the creation of an in-house speaker community

  • Topic sparring: Identify strategic topics, take an outside-in perspective, develop messages and core narratives, and set up hooks, twists and data points.

  • Format development: developing and providing keynotes, presentation modules and other lecture and discussion formats, including scripting, creation of graphics and videos, editorial translation of speaker engagements in blog posts, name articles or social media postings on LinkedIn, XING and Twitter.

  • Project management: The Speakers Bureau collects internal and external conference requests, evaluates formats, handles the exchange with organizers and coordinates the handling of partnerships and sponsoring deals on behalf of a company.
