Picture messages sent into space via mail
In 2005 Yahoo! started its service Yahoo! FotoMail worldwide. The question was: how to create enthusiasm for something as common as email? FAKTOR 3 provided the winning answer by offering users from all over Europe the chance to send personalized photo-mails into space.
The campaigne, titled "Mails to Space" was effectively staged and realized with the help of renowned partners. Over 3,000 emails were sent via one of the biggest parabolic antennas in the world, the DLR antenna in Weilheim, Germany to the solar system "61 Cygni B"."
